Open educational resources (OERs) are educational resources that are freely accessible to anyone who has internet access.

 

However, due to the open nature of these resources, the biggest challenges with OERs tend to revolve around content quality. Because anyone can make OERs, you can run into issues such as inconsistent quality of information, inconsistent formatting, and a time-consuming evaluation process.
